The Fortville Optimist Club is proud to celebrate
40 years of community service to the Fortville area. The club was chartered on January 13, 1968 based on the motto "Friend
of the boy". Over the years the motto has changed to "Friend of Youth", but the service by all the dedicated
volunteers has not changed.
We give a big thank you to all those founding visionaries that formed this club back in 1968. The charter officers
and board members were:
